great opportunity for an Electrician based in Newcastle Under Lyme
You will deliver the highest level of customer service throughout a university’s estates, and will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, repairs, and modifications of electrical systems, fire systems, boiler plant and controls, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Role: Electrician
Location: Newcastle Under Lyme
Employment: Contract, 7 weeks (probable extension)
Full Time 38.5 Hours
£23 per hour
Role and Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with other trades within the estates & development directorate to coordinate the necessary works to be carried out
• Responding to calls for urgent work which may occur outside normal working hours and carrying out planned work outside normal working hours utilising University vehicles and equipment as necessary.
• Participate in team briefings and ‘toolbox talks’ to improve the service provided

Qualifications Required:

• A time served apprenticeship with a craft qualification equivalent to a City & Guilds Certificate (C&G236 Part 2) or equivalent.
• IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition (BS7671)
• City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• Experience in installing, operating, maintaining, and improving building services for a sizable organisation with a sizable portfolio of properties
